You can delete your AstroNova account and its associated data at any time. Start inside the iOS or Android app, or contact support as described below if you cannot access it. This page explains the steps, what gets removed, and what to know about subscriptions.
How to delete your account in the app
- Open AstroNova on your iPhone or Android device and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- On iOS, go to Profile / Settings. On Android, open Settings.
- Choose Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion. You may be asked to sign in again to verify it’s really you.
For your security, you may need to sign in again using the same method and account. On Android, use the same phone number and enter its verification code only in the app. On iOS, use the phone, Sign in with Apple or Google sign-in method associated with your account. Never email a verification code or password to support.
What deletion includes
Deleting your account removes the personal data associated with it, including:
- your account profile (phone number, email if linked, and sign-in identifiers),
- your birth profile data (birth date, time, and place),
- your saved readings and reading history,
- content reports you submitted, including the text selected for those reports,
- coffee, palm and face reading photos still held in your account storage,
- notification tokens, and
- other personal data associated with the account — unless retention is legally required.
What may not be immediately deleted
- App Store or Google Play purchase and subscription records held by Apple or Google, which are managed by the respective store, not by us.
- Records we must retain for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute, or security purposes — kept only as long as required.
Subscriptions are separate
Deleting your AstroNova account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it separately through the store where you subscribed to stop future subscription charges.
- App Store: on your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions and select AstroNova. Refund requests are handled by Apple.
- Google Play: open Google Play subscriptions using the Google account used to subscribe, select AstroNova, and choose the cancellation option. You can also open this page from Settings → Manage Subscription in AstroNova on Android. Google Play refund requests follow the Google Play refund process.
How long it takes
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days unless a different period is required or permitted by law. After removal from the active account database, earlier copies can remain in daily backups and recovery history for up to 7 days before expiring. These copies are restricted to recovery use; our recovery procedure requires completed deletion requests to be reapplied before restored data is returned to service. This database recovery period does not set the retention of separate storage, transaction records or AI providers.
Need help?
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion at [email protected]. Use the email linked to your account if you have one. If you sign in only by phone and have no linked email, you may write from an email address you can access and tell us that you use phone sign-in. We will explain the account-ownership verification needed before acting on the request. Sending an email alone does not verify ownership. Do not send passwords or SMS verification codes; account deletion cannot proceed without verifying that the account is yours.
